CUSTOMER COMMENTS: I just wanted to let the staff at golf outlets know that I love my elliptical bike. This particular bike is really a smooth ride and easy on the ankles, knees, hips and back. I've attached some before and after pictures so you can see what this machine did for me!!! A colleague of mine was so impressed at how fast i lost the weight he came over my house to see this machine that I'd been talking about, it took him all of 30 seconds of riding it before he asked me where he could purchase one! Simple, inexpensive Elliptical exercise equipment

Updating my review on this wonderful product having owned it for almost a year now. We both use it regularly, 3-6 times per week. While reading newer reviews, I came across one that was very helpful to all who purchase this product: TIGHTEN ALL NUTS/BOLTS/SCREWS from time to time. Had a bolt let go on the right footpedal and immediately remedied the situation with a wrench. Decided to tighten all connections to find that they had all loosened up with the constant use. I did not put this machine together when it arrived, my fiance did, so I do not know if he used the wrench that was included or his own to tighten the fittings. But anyway, it's still an AWESOME machine for the money. Just be sure to tighten up all the connections from time to time and it should continue to be a great little work-out machine.
Inexpensive Elliptical Cross Trainer Doing the Trick

I ordered an elliptical cross trainer that gives legs and arms a workout with out jarring my body. It's quiet enough to use while watching TV with others. It's a great piece of equipment and it is helping me keep my resolutions so far. At first there were some nuts and bolts missing, I emailed in and they were sent quickly. The calorie counter, timer and odometer are motivating too. It was shipped to me quickly also. I compared similar machine prices in Christmas ads and it was the least expensive from Golf Outlet through Amazon.com.

I've run outside and at gyms several miles a day for 15 years, and I got this machine 2 years ago to try at home thinking it'd have to do for days I just wanted to run inside at home, but I've been amazed that it's a great workout, better or as good as on expensive gym machines, and I've run on it almost every day for 2 years now and it's still in great shape, as am I. I don't think it's too loud. I really am amazed by it.

Let me first say that I am NOT an exercise freak. I'm just a couch potato looking for a convenient way to exercise that might be more fun than a treadmill. I decided on an elliptical trainer, but balked at the $300+ pricetags until I found this one. It's compact, stable and easy to assemble (yes, even for a girl like me!) and easy to move. Although the movement is a bit more up-and-down than front-to-back as I expected, it's not a problem. It's probably what makes the machine take up less space and is better for my glutes, anyway. If you're looking for a starter model that won't break the bank, this trainer is for you.
What a bargain!

Contrary to the reviews I read before purchasing, I did not find the machine too difficult to assemble. I was afraid to use it at first thinking how sturdy could something I built be, but no problems thusfar. I even made an error during assembly that I thought for sure would have broken it, but nope. I find myself having to tighten a couple of things a little too frequently but I would hardly say that makes it not worth the price. The computer is worthless for anything other than a timer. There is no way that I am burning that many calories or running that fast. But again, still worth the price. I don't need a machine to tell me how hard I'm working. So far I've lost two pound running 30 mins most days of the week (and dieting of course) but I just started and I only have 10 pounds to lose so I'm completely satisfied with the performance of this machine.
Better than expected

For the price this is a very sturdy elliptical maching. I like the feature which enables you lock the bars into place or use the bars like a tradtional elliptical. The computer moniter is easy to use and efficent. The wheel design allows for a smooth workout, many elliptical are nowhere near a smooth as this one is. Don't let the shipping price keep you from getting this model it is well worth the price. Also the item arrived in 2 days and it is large and heavy which explains the shipping cost.
Small, sturdy machine

I bought this machine because I have a small apartment, and am very pleased with it. My boyfriend reported that the directions for assembly were not well-written, but that was able to figure it out. The machine is very sturdy, and does the job. It's nothing fancy, but it's well-made and a good value.

Excellent product, especially suitable for small people.
Installation is ok, I spend 3 hours to get used to the typoes of the manual. It seems necessary to remind people going to buy this product that some screws have opposite directions (for tightening I guess).
I got this for one month, so I am not sure about the durability. It seems will last for a long time if not abused.
One thing can be improved is the computer. The support does not work; a taller support for both the computer and hands seems necessary. The display is not real. Although I usually count on time, it will be better to have a feeling of accomplishment if I know the actual distance.
Last thing, shipping is too expensive.
Overall, I like it.
I have to edit this review after one year:
We love this machine. It is not only good, it is super!
It is so good to watch wrestle mania while working on this machine. My friend is more muscular than me and he usually tight the belt to give him a good sweat for half an hour. For me I just like the feeling of gliding forward or backward with no sense of time. I can say with one year of abuse, this machine is still sound and solid. I am going to buy one for one of my girl friend, and wish I can send one to my parents in another country, but the company won't do that.
Some people say they break this machine in one month. I would suggest them to do some maintainence. It is like a car. Even a new car would not last long without changing oil.

I researched many different machines when looking for an elliptical. I liked the reviews that this one got so I bought it. I was very happy with how quickly it got here and how easy it was to put together. I am a 5'7" woman and 145lbs. I use this machine everyday for 20-30 mins and I have not had any problems. I would recommend it to anyone. I noticed some complaints about feet slipping and mine do alittle but a better pair of shoes might help that. I think this was a great purchase for the price and am very happy with it. It fits perfect in my little home office area and does not make any noise. I feel like I am getting a great workout on it and am very happy with the item. Very happy!
EXTREMELY HAPPY WITH PURCHASE!

This Elliptical Cross Trainer was just what we were looking for. We didn't want something that would break our wallet in like some of the other models can. The computer on ours works great, and I find that we are burning twice as many calories using this machine vs our stationary bicycle. This trainer looks and feels high quality, not "cheap" like I had feared. What a great deal!! Happy couple overall here!! :)

I have been shopping for an elliptical for months, but just would not pay the high prices. Then I ran across this one. I was worried it would be on the cheap side, but it is not. Well worth the small price and you will get a workout, that is if you use it.
Excellent Product, Plan buying a second

I've had this product one week and am quite happy with it. In fact I am buying a second one for to setup in my real home (I work away from home for 3 weeks/mn).
It was easy to assemble, about 30 mins. I do recommend usig a "real" wrench as the wrench that comes with the unit is not adequate for securing the bolts and nuts.
The only problem I've had is a noticeable "clunk" as the pedal hits the protective plastic case.
I give this a buy recommendation.... |
Great buy for the money!!!

I was very surprised at the quality of this elliptical for the money. It is very sturdy & gives a terrific workout. I have used gym quality ellipticals for years & was afraid I would not care for this one at all. For a home workout it really can't be beat; especially for the price. Easy to put together, & I didn't have to read the instructions to figure out the computer; just hold the button down for several seconds to reset. I usually put it on scan so it will cycle through showing my time, distance, & calories during the workout. I'm sure it won't last nearly as long as a high end elliptical, but I really wanted something small & economical to see if I would stick with working out at home. This way if I don't then I haven't lost much. It really takes up a very small foot print also. I did have to put a piece of wood under the front as was recommended by other reviewers. Great tip that made a world of difference. I actually enjoy getting on this machine & working out!

This is a great machine for the price listed. It is compact in size, and easy to put together. I use it 3X a week and it really gets your heart rate up. You do need to retighten the screws after a few weeks because it tends to get a little sqeaky but overall I love it. It is not as sturdy as the ones at the gym but relatively sturdy for a compact inexpensive machine. I like the fact that you can stabilize the arms on it if you wish. I'm not crazy about the computer piece since you do not know how accurate it is, but this does not affect the workout being performed in my opinion. I would recommend it for someone who wants to get some cardio done at home and doesn't have alot of space or money to do so.
Great Product for an AWESOME price!

I LOVE this machine, for what you pay...why whine about the fan blade making noise. Turn up some music and get with it. This machine is fantastic...looks like a lot to put together when you first get it..but it took me about 15-20 mintues. It has also withheld my boyfriend and his friends racing to see who could get the fastest time in MPH. Over all I am VERY happy with this machine and will continue to use it everyday! Why shell out a fortune when you can get just as good machine for WAYYY less! I recommend it! = )

Great Elliptical! works great! Just getting use to exercising again. Wish I could keep my teenage daughters off of it so I can use it more! great buy for an excellent price. looked all over for a good machine for a good price. Just have to remember to tighten all bolts and screws once a month. they do loosen as you use it. Instructions to put it together could be a bit better. but you can figure it out. Highly recommend.

This was a gift for my daughter and I saw it being used a few weeks ago. It seems like a good product, but I was told the assembly instructions were very poorly written and totally confusing.
