Product Description

Forget the gym. Now you can enjoy a full cardio workout in the comfort of your home or office with this compact elliptical trainer from Stamina Products. Unlike full-size ellipticals, this trainer doesn't have arms or a front console. Instead, the trainer is essentially foot pedals only, with a chassis that's small enough to store under a desk or in a closet. Despite the small size, the trainer still packs a workout wallop, letting you burn a similar number of calories as jogging but without the risk of injury to the back, knees, hips, or ankles. Just keep your feet moving on the pedals--which continually oscillate in a low-impact manner--and you're set. Other details include sturdy steel construction, non-slip pedals, and an electronic fitness monitor that tracks the number of strides per minute, total number of strides, exercise time, and calories burned.

About Elliptical Trainers
Elliptical trainers represent the next wave of advancement in low-impact cardiovascular exercise machines and continue to grow in popularity. By simulating motions experienced through walking, stepping, cycling, and skiing, elliptical machines allow for a smooth and fluid motion while building strength in the arms and legs. Similar to the exercise position for treadmills, elliptical trainers are used by standing in an upright position while holding the handrails of the machine. With elliptical trainers, however, your feet remain in the foot pedals throughout the exercise regimen and circulate in a smooth and seamless motion, resulting in little to no impact on the knees, back, and hips.

Elliptical trainers are compatible for all ages and fitness levels and allow you to select the difficulty level through the incline and intensity settings. Additionally, elliptical trainers allow you to determine the complexity of your workout based on your needs, all while listening to music, watching television, or reading a magazine while exercising in the comfort and safety of your own home.

Although different types of elliptical trainers offer an assortment of features, many of them include an array of challenging programs, forward and reverse directional movement, EKG grip pulse handles, a lightweight portable design with easy fold-up capability, and a monitor displaying calories burned, distance, speed, time, and heart rate. Other types of exercise machines, namely treadmills and bikes, offer excellent cardiovascular exercise and muscular training for the legs in a forward-motion exercise. Elliptical trainers take this to the next level by offering an upper and lower body workout with dual motion, challenging and diverse programs, and a low-impact exercise machine that won't strain sensitive joints.

Love this little machine...

I had mixed feelings about purchasing this because of its size and I was afraid I wouldn't be able to get a good cardio on it. Boy was I wrong. When I workout on this my heart rate ranges from 145-160 which is exactly where I want it to be. It's very sturdy but does take a little getting used to as far as balancing on it but you can get a great workout from it. The strides are much smaller than what you find in a gym but that's expected. I think it's a very effective piece of equipment for the price.
Wonderful product, easy to stay motivated!

I bought this mini-elliptical after reading all the reviews on this and other similar products. I bought this item for three main reasons:
1 - Low price
2 - Small size
3 - Portability
I like the elliptical movement because I have bad ankles, and treadmills and steppers hurt me after a short time working out. I don't have room for a full-size elliptical machine in my house, and this turned out to be the perfect size. Plus, it's small size made it easy to move around the house to be where I wanted to use it. I like to work out while watching TV to keep my mind elsewhere and work out longer, and I can pull this machine (about 25lbs) in front of the TV in the living room to watch TV with family (yes, they laugh at me, but it's worth it), and then pull in front of my bed in the bedroom to watch a chick flick that no one else wants to watch. I even put my elliptical in front of my computer to watch Netflix movies online! It's easy to carry around.
Another great thing is that, because it's small, it is MUCH cheaper than a regular elliptical machine so, even it it only lasts a year or two, I can buy another one and still have not even come close to half the money I would have spent on a regular machine.
Sure, it doesn't have the arm movement, but I find that no handles makes me work my core by staying balanced (really not very difficult, haven't ever fallen in the 2 months I've had it), and I can even carry small weights to really work my arms while I'm doing the cardio workout of the elliptical.
I like the computer that tells you how long you've worked out, how many steps you've taken, and how many calories you've burned. Simple and straightforward. Another great feature: it's incredibly quiet to use!
The best thing about this is that it is easy to stay motivated, because I can watch TV anywhere and still use it, and I don't have to go outside in the hot California sun to work out! It's really a great machine, and a real value for the money. I used Super Saver Shipping to get mine, so I get a great workout several times a week for the price of a couple of months at the gym and without the hassle of driving somewhere just to work out. I love it, and recommend it to anyone that wants to get in shape!

I love this product! I had used a mini-stepper before this and it greatly surpasses the mini-stepper. Putting it together was easy and moving it around is not hard either.

I use it most often when I am watching TV and it is easy to carry from one place to another. Before I used to eat while watching TV and now I am able to enjoy a few shows a week while also getting the benefit of exercise.

People have commented on how much smaller the step is from the gym ellipticals and that is probably true but I don't feel it as a bad thing, the motion is quite nice. It can easily get my heart rate up or break a sweat. My favorite part is the core workout - there are no handles and you have to stand upright and it really works your core muscles as well. I can feel my abs the next day if I watch my posture while doing this.

The resistance can go from easy to very hard. It counts calories (without knowing your weight so I am not sure what the assumptions are here for your weight). It counts steps and miles walked as well. One complaint about the display is that it doesn't go over 9999 steps, it resets then. But it does remember your steps and miles walked for a while (a week? two weeks?).

In three words: I love it! and highly recommend it.
Love it!

I used to be a runner, and didn't know how I'd like this product, but it's WONDERFUl. It's easy to use, keeps track of time/calories for you, and fits anywhere!
Perfect for knees and watching TV

My knees love this machine. I hop on it for 30 minutes to an hour while watching tv and be the time I am done I am drenched. If you want to do more then sit and snack while watching the tube I suggest that you invest in this.
GREAT PRODUCT!

This mini-stepper is a great purchase. I'm able to use 5 lb. weights to also work my arms as I step and get a more intense workout. I also step backwards without the weights since I really have to try to maintain my balance when I'm going backwards. It's a great backup workout when I can't get to the gym. I work out on it 20 to 30 minutes with weights and work up a good sweat.
I Highly Recommend This Product!

I purchased this product a few weeks ago and I absolutely love it! It is light enough for me to pull it into the living room to use while watching TV and then store it in the closet when I am done. I love the timer and calorie counter; I am able to work up a good sweat and burn 250 calories in just 25 minutes! I just jump on it while I am watching the news at night and I am finished before the weather is off!

**I read some of the reviews that said it was hard to keep balance, but I have not had any problems at all keeping my balance without holding on to anything.

I highly recommend this product!
Awesome way to start exercising again!

Reviewer: L. Salinas,
I've had lots of trouble losing the weight after having my first child. Mostly I just sat on the couch all day but this thing gets me off my butt! I use it for 30 mins each day and I've lost a few lbs already. I use it in a doorway like another person suggested just incase I get off balance. Rocks only slightly but I have those squishy workout pads and I put 2 under it like it suggests in the instructions. Easy to put together and I started using it right away!

This little Elliptical Trainer is perfect for small spaces. It's easy to assemble and sturdily built (in fact,it's quite heavy for its size). The smaller than normal stride takes a little getting used to, and the hands free operation requires some balance, but I get a very good workout from this little machine. It can be a little awkward to move around because it has no handles, per se. And it's a bit like a stationary unicycle. It's a very good value for the money.

The other reviews really helped to make the decision to buy this product & I was not surprised when I opened the package.
If I could change anything, It would be to make the rotation higher (more bend to the knees).
Tip to get more out of your cardio w this machine..

Just received this today, put it together, product as described.
When putting it together I cut some 'sturdy paper washers' from thick coasters to put between the metal portions.

Tip to get the most efficient cardio workout from this machine:
I purchased some 2 pound wrist weights (Valeo) to hold while doing the following routine:

30 mins countdown.
Brisk steady pace throughout.
Every other minute you shadow box (punch forward)!
This along w/ the weights gives you resistance + intervals which is key to cardio.

For more advanced training.. punch forward, then punch upwards every other minute.
Give it a try and let me know how it works for you. ^_^

Good day.

nice little machine

Reviewer: William Yeager,
I have used the trainer every day for 30 minutes since I recieved the product(the first week of dec.08)The product has been excellent so far however the electronic timer has stopped working.(battery is probably dead) No big deal because I use a stop watch. The machine is quiet and has developed no squeaks. Using this machine relly works up a good sweat and put the burn into your legs and is far superior to the mini stepper I had been using. The only thing I wish could be different is the stride length. It is very short! Eventuall I think I will invest in a full size elliptical with a longer stride length.

This is a wonderful piece of equipment. It is small so doesn't take up a lot of room. It came in the mail fine and was really easy to put together. It works wonderfully, you do need to stand next to something so you don't fall off of it until you get the hang of it. Also, I think if you weigh more than 200 lbs it's probably not the little walker for you. I think maybe the people that had trouble with it braking on them weighed too much for such a small walker. I totally love it.
Exactly what I was looking for!

I agonized whether to spend nearly $100 to buy another piece of exercise equipment that might end up in my basement and not get used. I did a lot of research by reading all the reviews on this machine and finally went for it ... boy am I glad I did! I've had this mini elliptical for a over a week now. Assembled it in minutes and jumped on! Only took a couple 5 minute sessions on it before I was pretty confident and had my balance, and now, I am using it regularly while I watch television. It is small enough to be in your family/television room; weighs 30 pounds so you won't be moving it around all the time, though.

Obviously, due to it's compact size, it is more of a stepper action than a full size elliptical machine, but, what a workout it gives you! My legs are really feeling it (and I'm on the lowest tension setting)!

It is quiet and appears to be well built. It is a perfect size for someone wanting to "work out" instead of sitting on the couch while watching TV. I like the little monitor on it as it gives me the number of "steps" I've taken and the minutes/time I am on it. Even my husband commented on how sturdy this little piece of equipment is!

To sum up, it does exactly what I wanted it for so I am very happy with my purchase!
Great little elliptical!

This is a great little product to use if you don't have much room and you need a little 20/30 minute workout everyday! It killed my calves the first time I used it and I was running quite a bit before I bought it...I purchased it because I have been having heel/arch pain from running and this little machine 'sort of' takes the place of running for now. It's quiet and smooth! I takes a little getting used to, but it's great for the price.
Hard Work Out

I had read many reviews before purchasing this product. In the end I decided to purchase it. I drive an 18 wheeler and it fits comfortably in my truck. The little machine is a bit heavy but that is not a problem for me. It is a sturdy little machine. I feel the burn on this machine. It seems that at times it is smoother going backward than forward but overall it does what it is suppose to do. My legs feel the burn hard. Some reviews said the digital counter cannot be reset, well, all I have to say is read the instructions. Hold down the button for a few seconds will reset the digital counter. I love this machine and I do not, will not and would not ever regret or replace this machine. Five star from me.
Added Workout Bonus

I run fairly frequently, so I was a little skeptical about the size and effectiveness of this little piece of equipment. Let me say this is not the case with this elliptical trainer. In addition, the lack of handle bars or torque bars is not a detriment to this little piece of equipment. In fact if anything it is an asset. After using this for the first time last night it was obvious that the lack of hand grips gave you an added workout in your abdominals. This is probably due to the need to balance oneself more on this equipment. Like I said, I run fairly frequently, so I was not expecting any leg pain from using this equipment. It was obvious, however, that my abdominals also got a workout from this little machine. I noted at least one other reviewer pointing this out and I can definitely confirm their statements.

In addition, I found the bad reviews on the construction of this item to be both fair and yet a little ridiculous. This product is manufactured in China. Not everything is going to be perfect....certainly not as perfect as an elliptical that would cost several hundred dollars. Attention to detail must be applied when assembling this device. If you are putting this together, bite the bullet and break out some of your own tools for assembly. Where as the Allen wrench works well enough, the bolt wrench is a piece of junk. Pay attention to how you put the bolts in by hand so that you do not end up stripping them with your tools. Again, Made in China, attention to detail.

If you can handle all of this, you will LOVE this little workout machine. If not, you probably rated it less than 3 stars.
Really Amazing

I was looking for a exercise machine that was small enough (or portable enough)to use watching T.V.--I get really, really bored otherwise. I ran across this and read the reviews (very positive overall). So I ordered one and to tell you the truth I wasn't expecting much. I was pleasantly surprised! It works perfectly, is fun to use, quiet, easy on the knees, and well made. Plus it hides behind my easy chair in the family room so I can watch T.V., and doesn't make the room look like a nutcase lives there.

I have to agree about it being good for short people (I'm 5'3") and also about the balance. I lose my balance on flat ground with flat shoes so I doubt I will ever use it without holding on to the back of the chair.

So overall for the price, it's very, very cool. My 22 year year old daughter is now begging for one for her apartment.
Exactly what you think it is, but surprisingly good workout

I will mirror the sentiments of many reviews I read here..
- It's really cool to have a tiny portable elliptical trainer.
- The workout is surprisingly good; I'm fairly fit, and 20-30 minutes hammering away away at this does me in. If I want to watch half a movie, it is quite a work-out.
- Not a replacement for a nice run or bike in the sun, but for a guy that hates to run by himself (me), it's a real nice pinch hitter.
- It's very quiet. You hear it, but just sort of a light whoosh, maybe some little clicks sometimes. NOT distracting.
- The short range of motion doesn't bother me. It's a cardio machine, and it does it's job.

Great customer service alert: The meter stopped working on mine after my first session. I wrote them an email, and they asked for my address to send me a whole replacement machine. VERY GENEROUS there.
Very effective & great customer service

I bought this based on reviews here and my desire to try an elliptical trainer before opting for a really expensive one. I've been using a Nordic Track ski trainer for years, and this unit is such an effective complement to it that I have opted out of getting the expensive elliptical trainer. What's more, when the unit I bought in January began making strange clunking noises within less than three months, I called the manufacturer. Without any hassle, they shipped me a brand new one. I didn't even have to return the broken one. Now, that's customer service! When I get another health product, I'm going to shop this manufacturer first.
